Meet Amy

Life is a journey and this is mine.Right now, I am part way through a Masters of Counselling at the University of Canberra.I can't wait to start the next chapter of my career - finding that intersection between financial hardship and neurodivergence. I aim to be chatting with you about this when I open my counselling practice after I am qualified in 2028.Money is never just about the dollars and cents. It is about safety, identity, relationships, values and the stories we inherit long before we receive our first paycheck.After more than a decade working in financial counselling, I found myself becoming increasingly interested in the questions that budgets couldn't answer. Why do some people never feel they have enough? Why does shame stop people from asking for help? How do neurodivergence, trauma and our earliest experiences shape the financial decisions we make every day?Through my counselling practice, writing and educational resources, I help people understand not only what is happening in their financial lives, but why.I am the founder of Snowgum Road, where my long-term vision is to create practical, compassionate resources that help people develop healthier relationships with money, themselves and the people they love.
