The journey

When it came to writing and creating a website, I was keen to explore the different ways that people receive information. I wanted a straight up website, where visitors could pop in, find out who I am and what I am about and then contact me should anything resonate. Thanks to those who have reached out so far!

The other side however, is more than a website, its a narrative about my journey and the lessons learnt along the way that makes me who I am today. The particular choice in structure I decided on was akin to a 'choose your own adventure'. The books were a favourite of mind as a child, and at other times I loved it when the school teacher allowed the autonomy to get work done in the order that you preferred (I liked to get the boring stuff done first, then finish with the fun).

So why couldn't a website give you that option too? You can select the areas that are most relevant to you, hear about my story and then what I learnt and encountered in my work or information I had come across in my reading and research. Choice and control is especially important when a neurodivergent mind is involved (hi PDA'ers!).

.

The journey comes in four parts - the beginning, the middle, the now and the future and there is more to be released over time. I hope the topics peak your interest and you find the mode of delivery engaging.

I very much look forward to providing more options to cover all the different ways humans like to receive information as the website develops.

Thanks again for visiting my site, and I look forward to the next part of this journey.

Next time: Challenges encountered on the journey, do certain people have a harder time than others?

I would like to acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging for they embrace the memories, traditions, and culture of Australia.
